Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about Glarium, Sparks, ranking, and accounts.

Last updated: 14 May 2026

Is Glarium free to play?

Yes. During Alpha, Glarium is free to play. You create an account, download the launcher, and jump into matches.

What are Sparks?

Sparks are Glarium's in-game currency. You earn them for kills, match completions, and MVP awards, and spend them on tournament entries. During Alpha they are fictional and have no monetary value.

Can I buy or withdraw Sparks?

Not during Alpha. In the Beta phase, buying and withdrawing Sparks will be tested on Solana Devnet (fake USDC). Real USDC withdrawals are planned for Launch. See the Economy pages for details.

Is Glarium gambling?

No. Glarium is a skill-based competitive shooter. Match and tournament outcomes are decided by player skill, not chance. There are no random-outcome wagers, betting pools, or paid loot boxes.

How does ranking work?

Every player starts at 1000 ELO. Your rating changes after every match based on how you place relative to your opponents' ratings. Your ELO determines your league, from Bronze to Diamond.

How do I get into a match?

Log in on glarium.io, open the Play page, and join the matchmaking queue. You'll be matched with players of similar ELO; the search widens if you wait. Up to 5 matches run simultaneously.

When are tournaments?

Tournaments run on Sundays. Basic tournaments cost 100 Sparks and are open to all; Elite tournaments cost 1000 Sparks and require Gold league (1300+ ELO).

How do referrals work?

Share your referral code from the Referrals page. You earn 20 Sparks when someone registers with it, plus 10 Sparks per $10 they recharge once recharges are live.

I found a bug or a cheater. What do I do?

Report it to support@glarium.io with as much detail as possible (match time, player name, what happened). Cheating and economy manipulation result in bans.

Will my account or Sparks carry over after Alpha?

Possibly not. During Alpha and Beta, data and the Sparks economy may be adjusted or reset without notice as we balance the game. We'll communicate any reset in advance where possible.

Which regions are supported?

Alpha and Beta run on a single Spain-based server. Multi-region support (Europe, Americas, Asia) is planned for later phases.

How do I secure my account?

Use a strong, unique password (at least 8 characters with an uppercase letter and a number). You can enable two-factor authentication in your account settings. We email you when your account is accessed from a new IP address.
